David Finoli, Author & Historian

On Wednesday, September 21st, the Pennsylvania Highlands Community College Blair Center will be hosting “Talking Pirates Baseball” with local author and historian of Pittsburgh sports, David Finoli. The event, held at the College’s Blair Center in the Logan Valley Mall, will take place at 6pm.

David Finoli, of Greensburg, has written well over ten books, dealing mostly with the history of sports in Western Pennsylvania. He currently resides in Monroeville with his wife and three children. He spends most of his free time living and dying with the exploits of his three favorite teams: the Steelers, the Pirates, and the Penguins. Finoli is the author of Forbes Field, Pirates by the Numbers, The Pittsburgh Pirates: The 1960 Season, and much more.

Die-hard fans of the Pirates shouldn’t miss out on this special chance to discuss the Pirates and the team’s history with a noted historian. For further details, contact the Penn Highlands Blair Center at 814.201.2700 or blair@pennhighlands.edu.
