On Wednesday, October 5th, the Pennsylvania Highlands Community College Career Services Center will host a panel of employers for Penn Highlands’ students and community to learn from. This panel session, titled “What Do Employers Really Want,” will be held in the LGI room of the Workforce Education Center, from 12 to 12:50pm, on the College’s Richland Campus.
During this interactive panel session with employers, attendees will have the opportunity to hear first-hand from these employers about the types of skills and values they seek in job candidates.
Four professionals from the following companies will be participating in the panel: Alternative Community Resource Program (ACRP), Conemaugh Health System, Sargent’s Personnel Agency, and Somerset County Children and Youth Services.
The panel session will be moderated by Robert Mainhart, Adjunct Faculty at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. In addition to hearing about the qualities that employers seek, students will get to learn more about each of the local businesses from its respective representative. Students will also have the opportunity to ask questions and talk with employer representatives.
The College’s Career Services Center is devoted to helping current students and alumni find success beyond the classroom in our region. For additional information or to inquire about reserving a seat, please contact the Career Services Center at 814.262.3850 or CareerServices@pennhighlands.edu.
