On Thursday, March 7th, the Pennsylvania Highlands Community College will be holding a Financial Aid Night from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at our Somerset Center, located at 315 Georgian Place.

Join us to gain an understanding of the financial aid process. Our knowledgeable staff will provide information on the following and other topics:

  • Federal Stafford Loans

The Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College is proud to announce their Fall 2012 Induction Class. With this class, Beta Epsilon Omega inducted twenty new members into the prestigious international honor society.

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of the two-year college. The mission of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage the academic PTK Logoachievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.

SomersetOpenHousePennsylvania Highlands Community College’s Somerset Center invites community members, including high school students, adults, and their families to attend an open house at our facility at 315 Georgian Place. This exciting event will take place on Monday, January 28th, from 5pm to 7pm.

Attendees will learn more about the many opportunities available at the College’s Somerset Center, including our outstanding degree programs, transfer options, and opportunities for continuing education. Information on student life, including clubs and activities, will also be presented. Attendees will be able to speak with representatives regarding their future educational goals.

Orientation is the ideal time to meet your peers, your future professors and administrators, find your way around campus, and so much more!   It is about meeting new people and being welcomed to Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. You may be wondering about your family, are they invited? We encourage you to bring one or two guests along. There are programs and activities designed just for them.

All students new to the College are invited to attend an Orientation Session:

  • Richland (Evening Only and Part-Time [11 or less credits]): January 7, 6:00 – 8:00 pm
  • Richland (Full-Time): January 8, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Ebensburg: January 9, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
  • Somerset:  January 10, 1:00  – 3:00 pm
  • Huntingdon: January 11, 9:30 am – 12:00 pm

Orientation is required for all new students!  If you can’t make your scheduled session, you may attend any of the sessions listed above.  Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to each event and a light meal will be served at each session.

Don’t miss this engaging, ever so important, event in your transition to Pennsylvania Highlands Community College.
